COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS, THE CTS WAY

CTS has been on a mission to reduce its carbon footprint, using compressed natural gas instead of diesel fuel, which emits greenhouse gases into the environment.  The endeavor began in 2013, when CTS, who holds Gold Member status with Wisconsin Clean Cities, purchased their first CNG powered truck.

“Wisconsin Clean Cities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization managed by Legacy Environmental Services, Inc., an Indiana Certified Women’s Business Enterprise. Established in 1994, Wisconsin Clean Cities is one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s nearly 100 Clean Cities coalitions. The organizations support the nation’s energy and economic security by building partnerships to advance affordable domestic transportation fuels, energy efficient mobility systems and other fuel-saving technologies and practices.

Collectively, Clean Cities coalitions have saved nearly 10 billion gallons of petroleum since the program’s inception in 1993. Public, private and nonprofit entities collaborate with Clean Cities via a membership system to implement sustainable transportation solutions.”

At the present time, CTS owns 103 CNG powered trucks, and completed work on their very own on-site CNG station in March of 2020. Purchasing over 200,000 gallons of CNG each month, CTS is proud to move America toward a cleaner tomorrow.
