Summary
The Accounting Supervisor will complete or assist in daily accounting functions and in various projects and company initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Manages the activities of AR, AP and payroll positions
- Provide leadership, professional development and coaching to the accounting staff
- Collections, including resolving customer discrepancies
- Enter Daily Cash Receipts
- Owner Operator Settlements – Process settlements weekly
- Assist with obtaining and reporting key performance metrics
- Assist in month end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation
- Update & Maintain Fixed Asset Reports
- Development of accounting reports and analysis of information to provide guidance and insight to management
- Driver Payroll (Assist with payroll process and serve as backup to payroll)
- Various Quarterly Reporting, such as IFTA, Off Road Fuel Tax, IRS 720
- Oversee 401k program, upload employee contribution files, and manage annual audit
- Maintain Customer Rates in Database
- Maintain Driver Pay Tables in Databases
- Equipment management, maintain reporting on active equipment, title management, manage equipment for sale and prepare bill of sales
- Assist as point person for annual audits and provide requested documentation
- Provide direct support to VP Finance
- Strong attention to details

- Willingness to accept and take on new duties, responsibilities and miscellaneous projects as assigned by management
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project work relating to payroll, accounting or document imaging

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associates Accounting Degree
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Microsoft Excel proficiency expected: spreadsheet development, ability to develop formulas, including vlookups and sumifs to analyze data
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in word, and outlook
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work with and around people and alone at times
- Strong communication skills and decision-making capabilities
