DRIVER MANAGER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Monitoring, tracking, and dispatching all direct report drivers
  • Maintaining accurate data in the driver communication device
    • Accurate Mileage
    • Alignment of all start and stop locations
    • Maintain X-calls from drivers with all accuracy
    • Manage drivers’ ETAs, PTAs, and RTAs
    • Handle payroll inquiries and work to resolve issues for drivers
  • Establishing and maintaining a positive and productive work relationship with drivers
    • Keep track of driver routes
    • Contact customer service when detentions occur and work to keep drivers moving
    • Monitor the number of hours each driver has in to avoid HOS violations
  • Maintaining timely, accurate, and courteous customer service with internal customers and external customers
  • Resolving issues as they occur, working with team members when uncertain of the correct resolution, and when taking matters to the customer, providing a solution along with the situation
  • Coordinating load assignments for drivers with planners
  • Job dedication; work scheduled hours, arrive on time and leave when the work is complete
  • Paying attention to details
  • Providing disciplinary actions to drivers when needed
  • Being a part of a team that works to maintain drivers and avoid driver turnover 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED/HSED with a minimum of one year related experience
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations

  • Monday-Friday
