Green Bay, Wis., September 13, 2016 –
Contract Transport Services (CTS), LLC, a trucking company headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, recently did a fundraiser for the victims of the Louisiana flooding which occurred earlier this year. Over the course of a week, CTS employees, families, friends, and fans attending the LSU/Badgers college football game donated to the worthy cause.
On game day, CTS parked its new CTS Tailgate Zone, (a shipping container converted into a space for employees to tailgate) in the lot at the Green Bay Distillery. Anyone was welcome to check out the unique features of the container, and for those donating $20 or more to the #LouisianaStrong fundraiser, permission was granted to blow the air horn mounted to the side of the bar.
Shortly after the fundraiser, CTS announced that the company would match the entire amount of $2,382 that was raised! Not only that, but CTS’s parent company, Warehouse Services, Inc., announced that they would also match the collected amount, bringing the grand total to $7,146. After having direct conversations with people affected by the flooding and careful consideration, CTS has decided to donate a portion of the funds to the Louisiana Chapter of the Red Cross, and the remainder to Convoy of Hope, an organization that has been on the front lines during this terrible disaster.
