HR Manager

Summary

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for the human resources aspects of the company, with responsibility of ensuring compliance with legislation, employee relations and the functionality of all human resources applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide direction and ensure compliance relating to HR laws, ADA, FMLA, Disability claims , I-9s, EEO-1, 1095 reporting
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures
  • Manage team of 2 Driver Recruiters, ensure recruiting metrics are met
  • Reports; maintain and monitor all STD, LTD, FMLA case files, follow up on open cases
  • Benefits administration (health, life, dental, vision, STD, LTD, 401K, Lifelock, & Wellness Clinic) to include enrollment and terminations
  • Maintain employee files
  • Maintain job descriptions
  • Maintain policies and procedures
  • Maintain employee handbook
  • Provide support to front line supervisors regarding discipline and documentation
  • Coordinate the quarterly review process and follow up with managers to ensure completion
  • Recruit office and shop personnel to include review applicant qualifications by reviewing resume and conducting prescreen interviews, verify references, and complete on-boarding process
  • Unemployment; tracking, issues, appeals and representation in hearings
  • Coordinate all wellness initiatives with variations to maintain employee involvement
  • Coordinate company events
  • Function as a company liaison for all employees
  • Must abide by and enforce all organized policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local benefits laws and regulations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Human Resources or a related field; or four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8 hour shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
